(Rio de Janeiro BR, 2018)
In Lençois Maranhense, a natural park in the north of Brazil, the Nature sculpts beautiful shapes with the power of water and wind.
Walking around the amazing dunes and lagoons in the park I found two pieces of wood from a Caju tree one with the shape of a spiral (1) and the other cutted with clefts (2) like scars on the skin.
At the ArtRio Fundry I made the molds and I casted them in brass and then oxidized to have a green natural color.
Maranhense is a couple of sculptures thought to praise the work of craftsmanship of nature that reveals itself by showing us harmonic complex shapes.
